While we’re all coming to terms with COVID-19, and social distancing is becoming the new norm, it’s become a very difficult time to be an independent café, bar or restaurant in Perth right now.
The latest announcement concluded that all pubs, licenced venues and night clubs will be closed, and cafes and restaurants will now be restricted to take away and/or home delivery only. It’s hard to know what the future holds for our favourite locals! But a little support goes a long way: check if your favourite restaurants do home delivery, buy gift vouchers and shop local online.
It’s important to say that while most businesses are now offering delivery on UberEats and Deliveroo, be sure to check they’re offering their own delivery service which will ensure every bit of your hard-earned money goes to their business.
We’ve compiled a list of Perth restaurants, cafés and food stores who may have closed their dine-in areas, but have opened their home delivery services or created new takeaway menus.

As a new service to meet the needs of the moment, Rechabites has launched a new take-home service. Which means for all who’re strictly self-isolating but craving some diversity and delight in their diet, you can now safely scoot down our back lane and pick up their take-home direct from the sanitised sanctuary of the Double Rainbow kitchen.
As part of this service, Rechabites are reintroducing the $5 daily specials for artists that they offered during Fringe.
