With over a decade of experience working in 5-star hotels, some of Perth’s best restaurants and after opening her own café, Perth born Amanda Yong joined Cooee as a part of the pre-opening team as Pastry Sous Chef in October 2020, crafting a genuinely exquisite dessert offering.
Amanda discovered her culinary passion throughout her younger years growing up in Singapore. Not always interested in academics, Amanda excelled at the At-Sunrice Global Chef Academy in Singapore where she graduated with a Diploma in Pastry and Bakery Arts.
Amanda is passionately active in the food community and co-founded Project WOMN, an initiative based on a series of pop-up charity food and wine pairing dinners featuring all-women chefs and entrepreneurs from WA.
Amanda continues to evolve her culinary skills and is a passionate advocate for celebrating and embracing the achievements of women in the culinary world.
