Ben Waterston started life in Melbourne, where he was raised by two navy sailors and subsequently always on the move, travelling the country. It wasn’t until relocating to Canberra that Ben started to feel at home.
In 2018, Ben started his apprenticeship at Le Bon Mélange, working under the guidance of chef Michael Carey. It was here Ben discovered his true love for cooking, and the joy of creating food for others. Later in 2019, Ben moved to work for Les Bistronomes under chef Clement Chauvin where his passion grew and has continue to evolve with ambition and curiosity. Ben is a young and eager chef and can’t wait to explore the world of gastronomy.
