Henry Huang immigrated to Perth from Taiwan with his family when he was 14; it was during his high school years he decided to pursue a career as a Chef. He gained his culinary experience in cafés, hotels and restaurants including Clarke’s of North Beach.
Henry commenced at Hearth Restaurant in October 2019 and was part of the pre-opening team as a Commis Chef. His talent and tenacity were evident and he was quickly promoted to Demi Chef de Partie and is now a Chef de Partie overseeing the pass and dinner service for the entire restaurant.
As a chef for six years now, Henry really loves experimenting with flavours, creating dishes and striving for perfection on every dish. He derives most enjoyment from seeing how food connects people and cultures around the world.
Henry is determined to keep challenging himself and learning all he can in the culinary world.
