Alanna Sapwell, the former Arc Dining chef, leaves people wanting more wherever she goes. She recently wowed lucky diners in Noosa with her three-month pop-up, Esmay, and now Good Food Month presented by Citi is bringing Esmay to Brisbane for two incredible events. You’re invited to join Alanna and experience the creation of Esmay over a multi-course Dinner served with wine and beer at Baja Restaurant.

Queenslander Alanna trained at The River House in Noosa before working in Italy, Japan & highly regarded Brisbane venues before heading to Sydney to work with acclaimed wunderkind chef Josh Niland at hatted Saint Peter. From there,  she brought that knowledge back to Brisbane when she opened Arc Dining – and earned a Chef’s Hat, as well as scooping up Gourmet Traveller’s Best New Talent, Courier Mail’s Chef of the Year and Delicious’ Unearthed Next Gen Chef all within her first year of trading.

Alanna’s trademark is to showcase and celebrate the best regional produce with hyper-seasonal treasures, featuring ingredients gathered from local farms or sourced from local waters. There’s always a good dash of comfort-cooking and a twist of nostalgia in Alanna’s menus. We anticipate these two events will sell out fast, so please book your tickets quickly as we don’t know when or where she’ll pop up next.

We have implemented appropriate COVID Safe procedures with a view to mitigating the risk of COVID transmission and to allow our guests to comfortably enjoy our dining experiences. In order to adhere to social distancing regulations in line with venue capacity limits, tickets for Good Food Month feature events are available to purchase in groups of 2 or 4 with no shared tables between mixed parties. Table configurations are limited so all tickets must be purchased together at the time of booking, to ensure you are seated together with your friends and family.

If you have been unwell, recently returned from overseas or unsure if you have recently visited a COVID-19 hotspot, please email us foodandwineevents@publishing.nine.com.au prior to purchasing event tickets.

IMPORTANT EVENT ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

In order to implement social distancing upon arrival and avoid unnecessary congregation of guests at the venue, we will allocate each party a specific arrival time. This will be emailed to guests prior to the event. We ask that you ensure everyone in your party arrives at the allocated time, and you avoid arriving early or late where possible.

The allocated arrival times allow for guests to sanitize before entry and check in. Please do not print out your tickets, staff will check you into the event using the name used at the time of booking.

We are required by Queensland Health to ask any patron questions about their current health condition prior to entry. Event staff reserve the right to refuse entry to any patrons who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or any patrons who fail to comply with the conditions of entry. Please do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell, have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or is in quarantine and awaiting test results.

This event is strictly 18+. Attendees must carry with them valid photo ID as proof of age and will be required to present this upon entry.
