Hot damn! It’s Hot Chicken from Nashville via Noma in this battle of the best Southern-inspired dining, served up to you at sunset on Good Food Month’s floating restaurant, The Raft Perth.

Food lovers, this event is about putting the fine dining in fried dining! From the west coast we present Drasko Jankovic of Drasko’s Hot Chicken, a fine dining-obsessed chef who uprooted everything to move to Copenhagen to work at arguably the most important restaurant of its generation, Noma. The other is Morgan McGlone of Belles Hot Chicken, a trained chef who took residency in Nashville to work and learn from with the most acclaimed chef of Southern cooking (Sean Brock, Husk; Bon Appétit Magazine’s Best New Restaurant in America in 2011). In a stroke of culinary luck, Drasko met Morgan when Noma’s Rene Redzepi invited the latter over to do a Belles Hot Chicken pop-up. It was a chance encounter that inspired Drasko so much, he decided to go Nashville himself to learn the art of southern foodways.

With Noma and Nashville imprinted into each chef’s DNA, it’s no wonder their Hot Chicken empires are unstoppable. Perth, this is the first time the pair have been reunited and they are planning to bring you the most next-level Southern-fried dining you’ll ever experience!

This fun evening will take place on Perth’s stunning open-air event space, The Raft, which we’ve turned into the Good Food Month floating restaurant. Anchored, you’ll float on the scenic Swan River, taking in water and Perth city views at sunset. You’ll be collected in style from Barrack Street Jetty by tender boats and taken out to the Good Food Month floating restaurant where you’ll enjoy multiple courses with wine and beer. But shake a leg! We anticipate this event will sell out quickly.
