They’re the seafood stalwarts who collectively have over 100 years experience cooking seafood, and know everything there is to know about fish from hook to plate. Steve Hodges is teaming up with John Susman and Neil Perry for a seafood spectacular at Eleven Bridge, for Good Food Month.

Hodges and Susman are two of the co-authors of ‘The Australian Fish & Seafood’ cookbook , which is recognised as the definitive guide to handling and cooking fish. Hodges of Pier and Fish Face fame, is the quintessential chef’s chef and lauded  as one of the greatest seafood chefs in Australia – it was Hodges who trained Saint Peter’s award-winning Josh Niland, when they worked together at Pier.

Susman has gone from catcher, to cook, to culinary counsellor – he has an extensive history working in the seafood industry. Working closely with Appellation Oysters, Australia’s premium oyster grading program, he’s also the founder of Fishtales where he provides counsel to catchers, Government and Industry bodies, retailers, restaurateurs and chefs.

Neil Perry and Susman worked together at Bondi’s Blue Water Grill in the ‘80s, and Perry is coming out of retirement for this truly special dinner. Expect premium grade oysters, Chardy and plenty of laughs.

Hodges has more raw tales to tell than all of the fish tails in the Pacific, so we know this is going to be a shucklingly memorable dinner to experience.

We have implemented appropriate COVID Safe procedures with a view to mitigating the risk of COVID transmission and to allow our guests to comfortably enjoy our dining experiences. In order to adhere to social distancing regulations in line with venue capacity limits, tickets for Good Food Month feature events are available to purchase in groups of 2, 4 or 6, with no shared tables between mixed parties. Table configurations are limited so all tickets must be purchased together at the time of booking, to ensure you are seated together with your friends and family.

If you have been unwell, recently returned from overseas or unsure if you have recently visited a COVID-19 hotspot, please email us foodandwineevents@publishing.nine.com.au prior to purchasing event tickets.

IMPORTANT EVENT ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

In order to implement social distancing upon arrival and avoid unnecessary congregation of guests at the venue, we will allocate each party a specific arrival time. This will be emailed to guests prior to the event. We ask that you ensure everyone in your party arrives at the allocated time, and you avoid arriving early or late where possible.

The allocated arrival times allow for guests to have mandatory temperature checks, sanitize before entry and check in. Please do not print out your tickets staff will check you in to the event using the name used at the time of booking.

We are required by NSW Health to ask any patron questions about their current health condition prior to entry. Event staff reserve the right to refuse entry to any patrons who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or any patrons who fail to comply with the conditions of entry. Please do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell, have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or is in quarantine and awaiting test results.
