Lavendra | Anglo – Indian Exploration
Welcome to Good Food Month, as we explore the differences behind what we know as British Indian Cuisine and Anglo–Indian Cuisine (the East India merchants who stayed in India after partition and became a minority culture that still exists today).
The menu primarily focuses on the writings of Arthur Robert Kennedy (pen name – Wyvern) and his book ‘Notes from Madras’. This was used widely by people visiting India from abroad for an easier way to assimilate and familiarise with Indian cuisines and is still used by the Anglo-Indian minorities of India today.
Sit back to views of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge and immerse yourself in the Anglo-Indian experience.
