Shannon Martinez at Mary’s Underground
Date: Thursday 10 October
Time: 9:30pm – 12:00am
Venue: Mary’s Underground, 7 Macquarie Place, Sydney NSW 2000
Good Food Month is proud to present Shannon Martinez at Mary’s Underground – an evening of elevated Cajun and Creole vegan food, enjoyed over the sultry, swampy and all-out Southern vibes of the best live big brass band (this side of Louisiana). Mary’s Underground, one of Sydney’s most iconic venues, will transform into a soulful, swinging Bayou jazz joint, serving up seductive Southern food, with Shannon-approved vegan wine and beer.
Shannon is Melbourne’s high priestess of plant-based food, dishing out Melbourne’s finest vegan cuisine, converting even the most meat-craving carnivore to her delicious green ways. She’ll be joining the team Mary’s Underground for a one-off night, creating a classic Southern multi-course menu that’s refined, delicious and completely vegan. Mary’s Underground are Sydney’s good-time gods, famous for serving up live music that’s as vibrant and sharp as their ultra top nosh.
Housed at Sydney’s live music institution, formerly The Basement, the Mary’s team saved the venue earlier this year from permanent shutdown. They’ve put their Midas touch on the site, once again proving that Sydney loves live music as much as it loves cracking food. Together with Shannon, this will be a night of incredible talent, brilliant food, in a venue that books the best live bands (by legendary music director Joe Muller). Grab your crew food lovers – this event is not to be missed.
